07.10.11 | July 4th tour was great
Played at Ambassador residences in Vienna, Ljubljana (Slovenia), and Paris.

Some gigs were cooler than others. In Paris we performed with 2 "Glee" cast members (I wrote a new arrangement in the van on the way from Slovenia), and I got to sit about 4 feet behind Renee Fleming while she sang "God Bless America."

Concert Band tour went to some really cool places! Next trips I get to take are to Vienna, back to Ljubljana (Slovenia), and to Paris again for some Embassy work. I've never been to Vienna, but everyone says it is awesome. The other 2 places are always a great time.

It seems like there are little to no pay gigs in this part of Germany for USAF Musicians, but I'm playing tons of cool places with the USAF. Last night we played at the 4-star General's house in the back yard. It wasn't really all that different from Garden Parties I've played in the States ...

Getting ready to go on the road with the USAF Europe Concert Band to Czech Republic, Slovakia & Hungary.

09.24.10 | Performed with Jimmy Buffett!!!
THis past Thursday, Sept. 23rd I performed with the USAFE Band "Direct Hit" at the U.S. Ambassador to France's residence and Jimmy Buffett sat in with us. He was a great guy and was very complimentary to the band. This was a definite highlight of my time in Europe so far!

There are now 2 of my original tunes posted under the "Listen" section of the website. They are both taken from the new USAF Band of Mid America recording, "Blue Shadows," which is available for free download at: www.bandofmidamerica.af.mil

04.21.10 | NATO Recording Project
I am in Mons, Belgium right now playing some section parts on a recording by the NATO Jazz Orchestra. It has been a really great experience getting to know musicians from different US Military Bands as well as from various NATO countries. I'm really looking forward to hearing and sharing the final product when these recordings are finished.

12.20.09 | Update
I will be moving to Germany to continue playing for the US Air Force in the next few weeks and will be living there for the next few years. Unfortunately, we ran out of time to get into the studio for the trio recording project, so that will have to go on the backburner for a while.

I have been in the studio on an other project though. I have been recording the play-along tracks for a book that my friend Tony DiPasquale has written. Hopefully that will get published in the near future!

08.25.09 | Recording Project Update
It looks like a studio has been nailed down, and most of the tunes are ready to go. All the musicians are on board, and now we are just looking at dates to record.

It looks like it will be a Tenor Sax trio (w/ bass, drums), and guest piano/keyboard player(s) on 2 tunes. The record will be made up of all original compositions.

Hopefully there will be news soon of an imminent recording!!!

The plan is to record a Trio CD (sax, bass, drums) of original music in the next month or 2. More info to come soon.
